About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and iHux Solutions FZ-LLC, a free zone company registered in the United Arab Emirates, trading as iHux (“iHux”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using Phone Cleaner, or using this website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Your licence to use the app

Phone Cleaner is licensed to you, not sold. These terms are the licence agreement for the app. They include, by reference, the terms Apple requires in every app licence, as set out in Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) — among them, that this agreement is between you and iHux, not Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries who may enforce these terms. Where the Standard EULA covers something these terms do not, it applies; where the two differ, these terms apply.

Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its support. For help, contact us.

You agree not to copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell the app, to use it unlawfully, or to use it on an email account or device you are not entitled to manage.

Free trial and subscriptions

  • Phone Cleaner needs an active free trial or subscription. During the free trial you can free up to 2 GB of storage a day; a subscription removes that limit.
  • Plans, prices and billing periods are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, if you start with a free trial, when the trial ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • A free trial becomes a paid subscription when it ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • To manage or cancel, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions › Phone Cleaner — or in the app, go to More › Settings › Subscription › Manage Subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • If a price changes, Apple tells you in advance, as its rules require.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
  • To get your plan on a new device, sign in with the same Apple Account and tap Restore Purchases (how).

Deleting and changing your files

Phone Cleaner suggests what to clean; you decide. Nothing is deleted, merged or compressed until you confirm it.

  • Photos and videos — when you delete, the app asks iOS to remove them. iOS asks you to confirm and moves them to Recently Deleted in the Photos app, where you can recover them for 30 days. If iCloud Photos is on, the change applies on all your devices.
  • Compressed videos — compressing saves a smaller copy at lower quality. Whether the original is kept is your choice; a deleted original goes to Recently Deleted.
  • Contacts — merging combines duplicate cards into one and removes the others from your contacts. Contacts has no Recently Deleted. With Automatic Backup on (the default), the app saves a snapshot first, and you can add contacts back from it in the app. With it off, a merge cannot be undone by the app. If your contacts sync with iCloud or another account, the change syncs too.
  • Private vault — the vault exists only on the device it was made on and is not included in backups. If you delete the app, lose the device, or forget the PIN of a PIN-protected vault, its contents cannot be recovered — by you or by us. Keep a copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Before a big clean-up, back up your device to iCloud or a computer (how). You are responsible for your backups.

Email actions

  • The email cleaner acts on your Gmail only when you tell it to: move emails to Trash, report them as spam, or unsubscribe from a sender. Gmail’s own rules then apply — Gmail deletes mail in Trash for good after 30 days.
  • An unsubscribe request goes to the sender. We cannot guarantee that a sender honours it.
  • “May be fake” flags are hints based on Gmail’s own checks, not a guarantee either way. Use your own judgement before acting on an email.
  • Your use of Gmail remains subject to Google’s terms. Phone Cleaner is not made by or affiliated with Google. Gmail is a trademark of Google LLC.

Speaker cleaner and Safari protection

  • The speaker cleaner plays tones that help push water and dust out of the speaker. It is not a repair and cannot fix damage. Hold the phone away from your ears while it plays.
  • Safari protection blocks ads, trackers and cookie pop-ups from built-in lists. A blocked item can occasionally stop part of a website from working; you can turn the extension off in Settings › Apps › Safari › Extensions.

Ownership

The app, this website and their content belong to iHux or its licensors. Open-source software and rule lists are used under their own licences, listed on our Licences page. Your photos, contacts and emails stay yours — we claim no rights in them.

The guides on this website are general information. Follow them at your own judgement. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

No warranty

To the fullest extent the law allows, the app and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every duplicate or problem will be found, or that a particular amount of space will be freed.

Some countries do not allow these exclusions. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that the law says cannot be limited.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, iHux is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data — including deleted photos, videos, contacts, emails or vault contents — arising from your use of the app or this website. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Phone Cleaner in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising from them or from your use of the app or this website is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere — for example in the European Union or the United Kingdom — you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for an important change we will say so on this website and in the app’s release notes before it takes effect. If you keep using the app after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.

These terms are written in English. We also publish them in other languages for your convenience; if a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
